Tom Brady wasn't willing to disclose much information about his contract negotiations, despite the fact he's entering his 20th NFL season and has just one year remaining on his contract.
When the six-time Super Bowl champion was pressed about his long-term future with the Patriots on Wednesday at the team's training camp, he talked around the question by praising the Patriots coaching staff and front office.
"I've had such a great experience over a lot of years," Brady told reporters. "I appreciate this team and the opportunity it gave me in 2000. I play for a great coach in Coach [Bill] Belichick, and [offensive coordinator] Josh [McDaniels] and I have a great working relationship. I love Mr. [Robert] Kraft and his family. We've had just incredible success. Hopefully we can keep it going."

Brady was then asked if he would be interested in going "year-to-year" for his next contract, but he again didn't give a straight answer.
"We're all day-to-day if you think about it. None of us are really promised anything," Brady said. "I'm trying to do the best I can do today and just let those things sort themselves out."
As for whether he thinks he deserves a contract extension, Brady said he would rather defer to the public's opinion than give one of his own.
"I don't know. That's up for talkshow debate," Brady said. "What do you guys think? Should we take a poll? Talk to Mr. Kraft, come on. No, like I said, we've got a great relationship so we'll see how it goes."
One thing Brady did make clear, though, is that it'll be hard for him "to imagine doing anything else in life."
"I'm enjoying it," Brady said. "You know, every year has its different challenges, and it's like a day like this, we've got to keep grinding through them. It's hot, we've been at it for a week or two, and we've got to find ways to make improvements. That's what this time of year is all about.
"I love playing ball, so to still be out here at 41 – soon to be 42 – it's a pretty great thing for me."
Brady has hinted in the past that he wouldn't consider retirement until his mid-40s. Even though he'll turn 42 next month, he's still one of the most effective and efficient quarterbacks.
He led the Patriots to a spot in the last three Super Bowls and won two of them. Last season, he completed 65.8% of his passes for 4,355 yards and 29 touchdowns with 11 interceptions.
