With the start of training camp right around the corner, the New England Patriots welcomed their rookies back to the facilities on Friday while veterans will follow shortly after.
On Friday, New England placed rookie linebacker Jontry Hunter on the non-football injury list. This could mean that Hunter is dealing with an injury suffered away from the facility or in college. He could come back when cleared, but he can't practice until then.
The Patriots signed Hunter, 23, as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia State this year. He appeared in 53 games in college, recording 234 tackles and six sacks. He's expected to compete for practice spot in camp.
