The New England Patriots and edge rusher Matthew Judon are not in the best place right now, as the two sides are not on the same page when it comes to Judon's contract.
New England's star edge rusher wants an extension or an increase in his salary in 2024 as he enters the final year of his deal.
On Monday, Judon attended practice in sweats and departed the field after having animated discussions with head coach Jerod Mayo, executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf and director of player personnel Matt Groh.
For Tuesday's session, Judon wasn't seen on the field and NBC Sports' Phil Perry reported that he's not at the facility at all.
This is a big issue for the Patriots. They will either need to come to an agreement with the Pro Bowler or send him elsewhere, as this can only be a distraction and hurt the locker room.
