The New England Patriots entered the offseason with a clear need for wide receiver help, and their biggest move in free agency was signing former Minnesota Vikings wideout K.J. Osborn.

Osborn spent four seasons in Minnesota, catching 158 passes for 1,845 yards and 15 touchdowns while primarily serving as the third option at the position behind Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen or Jefferson and Jordan Addison.

With New England, Osborn has been one of the first guys through every drill in training camp and will probably compete with DeMario Douglas and Kendrick Bourne (active/PUP) for the top spot when the season rolls around.

For now, he's working on getting on the same page with his starting quarterback, Jacoby Brissett.

While they're sharing the field for camp and the preseason, Osborn says he's also taking time out of his days to watch film of five-time Pro Bowler Amari Cooper, who saw success with Brissett with the Cleveland Browns.

Cooper and Brissett played 11 games together in Cleveland, putting up 57 receptions for 792 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Patriots would be ecstatic if Osborn put up those numbers with Brissett in 2024.
