The New England Patriots will open their 2024 campaign against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium on Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. ET, which is now 26 days away.

Until the opening kickoff of the season for the Patriots, we'll be counting down each day by looking back at those who have worn each specific jersey number.

Since 1960, 15 players have worn No. 26 in New England, and with 26 days until their first game of the year, here's a look at everyone who's worn the number for the team:

DB Shaun Wade: 2023-Present

  • Appeared in 20 games for New England over his first three seasons, recording 26 tackles and a pass defensed
  • Expected to have a depth role in 2024

RB Sony Michel: 2018-20

  • Appeared in 38 games for New England over three seasons, rushing for 2,292 yards and 14 touchdowns on 4.3 yards per attempt and catching 26 passes for 258 yards and a touchdown
  • Won a Super Bowl with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Los Angeles Rams (won a Super Bowl) and the Los Angeles Chargers

DB Logan Ryan: 2013-16

  • Appeared in 64 games for New England over four seasons, recording 243 tackles (five for a loss), 41 passes defensed, 13 interceptions, six quarterback hits, four forced fumbles and 2.5 sacks
  • Won two Super Bowls with the Patriots
  • Also played with the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers

DB Derrick Martin: 2012

  • Appeared in five games for New England in one season, recording five tackles and a sack
  • Also played for the Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers (won a Super Bowl), Chicago Bears and New York Giants (won a Super Bowl)

DB Phillip Adams: 2011

  • Appeared in six games for New England in one season, recording eight tackles and one interception
  • Also played for the Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers

DB Eugene Wilson: 2003-07

  • Appeared in 62 games for New England over five seasons, recording 254 tackles (three for a loss), 28 passes defensed, 10 interceptions, four fumbles recovered and two forced fumbles
  • Won two Super Bowls with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Houston Texans

DB Matt Stevens: 2000-01

  • Appeared in 16 games for New England over two seasons, recording 43 tackles, two passes defensed, one interception, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery
  • Won a Super Bowl with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and Washington

DB Chris Canty: 1997-98

  • Appeared in 32 games for New England over two seasons, recording 76 tackles, three sacks, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and an interception
  • Also played for the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints

DB Jerome Henderson: 1996

  • Appeared in 40 games for New England over four seasons, recording 107 tackles, seven interceptions and a fumble recovery
  • Also played for the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles

RB Corey Croom: 1993-95

  • Appeared in 43 games for New England over three seasons, rushing for 252 yards and a touchdown on 3.5 yards per attempt and catching nine passes for 100 yards

DB David Wilson: 1992

  • Appeared in one game for New England in one season
  • Also played for the Minnesota Vikings

DB David Key: 1991

  • Appeared in three games for New England in one season, recording one fumble recovery

DB Raymond Clayborn: 1977-89

  • Appeared in 191 games for New England over 13 seasons, recording 36 interceptions, eight fumble recoveries and two sacks
  • Made three Pro Bowls with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Cleveland Browns

DB Clarence Scott: 1969-72

  • Appeared in 43 games for Boston/New England over four seasons, recording six fumble recoveries and an interception

DB/RB Walter Beach: 1960

  • Appeared in 18 games for Boston over two seasons, recording an interception and catching nine passes for 132 yards and a touchdown
  • Also played for the Cleveland Browns (won an NFL championship)
