25 days till Patriots season opener: Every player to wear No. 25 for New England image

The New England Patriots will open their 2024 campaign against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium on Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. ET, which is now 25 days away.

Until the opening kickoff of the season for the Patriots, we'll be counting down each day by looking back at those who have worn each specific jersey number.

Since 1960, 19 players have worn No. 25 in New England, and with 25 days until their first game of the year, here's a look at everyone who's worn the number for the team:

DB Marcus Jones: 2022-Present

  • Appeared in 17 games for New England over his first two seasons, recording 44 tackles (two for a loss), seven passes defensed, two interceptions and one fumble recovery, caught four passes for 78 yards and a touchdown and returned 32 punts for 383 yards and a touchdown and 27 kicks for 645 yards
  • Expected to be the team's return man and play a role on defense

RB Brandon Bolden: 2021

  • Appeared in 115 games for New England over eight seasons, rushing for 1,206 yards and 10 touchdowns on 4.4 yards per attempt and catching 97 passes for 889 yards and five touchdowns
  • Won two Super Bowls with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins

DB Terrence Brooks: 2019-20

  • Appeared in 29 games for New England over two seasons, recording 47 tackles, four quarterback hits, three passes defensed and an interception
  • Also played for the Baltimore Ravens, New York, Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles

DB Eric Rowe: 2016-18

  • Appeared in 21 games for New England over three seasons, recording 51 tackles (one for a loss), 11 passes defensed and one interception
  • Won two Super Bowls with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers

DB Tarrell Brown: 2015

  • Appeared in three games for New England in one season, recording 15 tackles (two for a loss)
  • Also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders

DB Kyle Arrington: 2013-14

  • Appeared in 86 games for New England over six seasons, recording 334 tackles (eight for a loss), 48 passes defensed, nine interceptions, five forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and three sacks
  • Won a Super Bowl with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers

DB Patrick Chung: 2009-12

  • Appeared in 141 games for New England over 10 seasons, recording 719 tackles (20 for a loss), 54 passes defensed, 12 quarterback hits, 11 interceptions, 4.5 sacks, four fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles
  • Won three Super Bowls
  • Also played for the Philadelphia Eagles

DB Artrell Hawkins: 2005-06

  • Appeared in 19 games for New England over two seasons, recording 90 tackles (two for a loss), three passes defensed, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovered, one interception and one sack
  • Also played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Carolina Panthers

DB Arturo Freeman: 2005

  • Appeared in two games for New England in one season, recording seven tackles
  • Also played for the Miami Dolphins

DB Leonard Myers: 2001-02

  • Appeared in 15 games for New England over two seasons, recording 23 tackles and two passes defensed
  • Won a Super Bowl with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Detroit Lions and New York Jets

DB Larry Whigham: 1994-2000

  • Appeared in 106 games for New England over seven seasons, recording 139 tackles, five sacks, four interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble
  • Made a Pro Bowl with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Chicago Bears and made a Pro Bowl

DB Darren Anderson: 1992

  • Appeared in one game for New England in one season
  • Also played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons

DB Tony Zackery: 1990-91

  • Appeared in 18 games for New England over two seasons
  • Also played for the Atlanta Falcons

DB Vencie Glenn: 1986

  • Appeared in four games for New England in one season, recording nine tackles
  • Also played for the San Diego Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints and New York Giants

DB Rick Sanford: 1979-84

  • Appeared in 89 games for New England over six seasons, recording 16 interceptions, nine fumble recoveries and a sack
  • Also played for the Seattle Seahawks

DB John Sanders: 1974-76

  • Appeared in 30 games for New England over three seasons, recording six interceptions and five fumble recoveries
  • Also played for the Philadelphia Eagles

DB Rickie Harris: 1971-72

  • Appeared in 28 games for New England over two seasons, recording five fumble recoveries and three interceptions and returned nine punts for 24 yards
  • Also played for Washington

DB John Charles: 1967-69

  • Appeared in 39 games for Boston over three seasons, recording six interceptions and a fumble recovery
  • Also played for the Houston Oilers and Minnesota Vikings

DB Ross O'Hanley: 1960-65

  • Appeared in 77 games for Boston over six seasons, recording 15 interceptions and a sack
