Until the opening kickoff of the season for the Patriots, we'll be counting down each day by looking back at those who have worn each specific jersey number.
Since 1960, eight players have worn No. 11 in New England, and with 11 days until their first game of the year, here's a look at everyone who's worn the number for the team:
WR Tyquan Thornton: 2022-Present
- Appeared in 22 games for New England in his first two seasons, catching 35 passes for 338 yards and two touchdowns
- Expected to be a starter in 2024
WR Julian Edelman: 2009-20
- Appeared in 137 games for New England over 12 seasons, catching 620 passes for 6,822 yards and 36 touchdowns
- Won three Super Bowls and a Super Bowl MVP with the Patriots
QB Drew Bledsoe: 1993-2001
- Appeared in 124 games for New England over nine seasons, completing 56.3% of his passes for 29,657 yards, 166 touchdowns and 138 interceptions
- Won a Super Bowl and made three Pro Bowls with the Patriots
- Also played for the Buffalo Bills (made a Pro Bowl) and Dallas Cowboys
P Shawn McCarthy: 1991-92
- Appeared in 29 games for New England over two seasons, averaging 35.5 yards per punt
