Until the opening kickoff of the season for the Patriots, we'll be counting down each day by looking back at those who have worn each specific jersey number.
Since 1960, 17 players have worn No. 76 in New England, and with 76 days until their first game of the year, here's a look at everyone who's worn the number for the team:
OT Calvin Anderson: 2023-Present
Anderson was signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2019 after playing collegiately at Rice and Texas. He spent time with the New York Jets and Denver Broncos before returning to New England last year and playing in five games.
OL Isaiah Wynn: 2019-22
Wynn was New England's first-round pick in 2018 out of Georgia. He appeared in 43 games over five seasons for the Patriots before signing with the Miami Dolphins for the 2023 season.
OT Sebastian Vollmer: 2009-15
Vollmer was New England's second-round pick in 2009 out of Houston. He appeared in 88 games over his seven-year career, winning two Super Bowls with the team.
OT Brandon Gorin: 2003-05
Gorin was a seventh-round pick of the San Diego Chargers in 2001 and joined the Patriots in 2002. During his four years in New England, he appeared in 31 games and helped them win two Super Bowls. After leaving the Patriots, he played for the Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and Denver Broncos.
OT Grant Williams: 2000-01
The Seattle Seahawks signed Williams as an undrafted free agent in 1996 and joined the Patriots after four seasons in Seattle. He appeared in 29 games for New England and helped them win a Super Bowl before finishing his career with the St. Louis Rams.
OL William Roberts: 1995-96
Roberts was a first-round pick of the New York Giants in 1984 after playing at Ohio State. He joined New England in 1995 and appeared in 32 games over two seasons.
DE John Washington: 1993
Washington was a third-round pick of the New York Giants in 1986 out of Oklahoma State. After seven seasons with the Giants and one with the Atlanta Falcons, he joined the Patriots for one season. He appeared in all 16 games for New England in his lone year.
NT Fred Smerlas: 1991-92
Smerlas was a second-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 1979 out of Boston College. After 11 seasons with the Bills and one with the San Francisco 49ers (where he made five All-Pro teams), he joined the Patriots for two seasons. With New England, he appeared in 32 games.
OL Stan Clayton: 1990
Clayton was a 10th-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons out of Penn State. After two seasons with Atlanta, he joined New England for two. He appeared in just 11 games for the Patriots.
OL Tom Rehder: 1988-89
Rehder was a third-round pick of the Patriots out of Notre Dame. In two seasons with the team, he appeared in 32 games before joining the New York Giants for a year and the Sacramento Surge of the World Football League for another.
OT Brian Holloway: 1981-86
Holloway was a first-round pick of the Patriots out of Stanford. He made three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro Second-team while playing in 88 games over six seasons. He finished his career with two years with the Los Angeles Raiders.
DE Greg Schaum: 1978
Schaum was a seventh-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 1976 out of Michigan State. After three years with Dallas, he joined the Patriots for one season and appeared in 14 games.
DL Peter Cusick: 1975
Cusick was a third-round pick of the Patriots in 1975 out of Ohio State. He appeared in 13 games in his one season with the team and recorded one sack.
DL Dave Rowe: 1971-73
Rowe was a second-round draft pick of the New Orleans Saints in 1967 out of Penn State. After four seasons with New Orleans, he joined the Patriots for three. He appeared in 42 games for the Patriots, recording six sacks.
DL Rex Mirich: 1970
Milrich was a 16th-round pick in the 1963 NFL draft of the Minnesota Vikings and a 20th-round pick in the 1963 AFL draft of the Oakland Raiders. He spent three years with the Raiders, three with the Denver Broncos and one final season with the Boston Patriots, appearing in seven games.
OL Charley Long: 1961-69
Long was an eight-round pick of the Patriots in 1961 out of Chattanooga. He appeared in 124 games for the team over nine seasons and was a two-time AFL All-Star.
OT Tony Discenzo: 1960
Discenzo entered the AFL out of Michigan State. He played in just three games for the Patriots before joining the Buffalo Bills for five games to finish out the 1960 AFL season.
