The New England Patriots had about a month off between organized training activities and training camp which fully starts on Wednesday.
During the OTAs, rookie wide receiver Javon Baker was noticeably absent at times, and we now know why, as the Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan reported that Baker has been recovering from a thumb fracture.
New England posted a picture of Baker catching passes on Monday, perhaps showing that he's back and practicing ahead of the first full training camp session later in the week.
Baker has a chance to earn a spot at or near the top of the depth chart at the position in training camp, and the Patriots would love to have someone step up and take the top spot by the reins.
The wideout recorded 56 receptions for 796 yards and five scores in two seasons at UCF after transferring from Alabama.
