The New England Patriots have seemed to get the most out of former first-round pick Jabrill Peppers in his two years with the team. In 32 games, he's recorded 138 tackles (seven tackles), eight passes defensed, two interceptions, two quarterback hits, two fumbles recovered, one forced fumble and one sack.
Peppers was originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns after an impressive collegiate career at Michigan. However, he lasted only two seasons with the team before being traded to the New York Giants along with Kevin Zeitler, a first-round pick and a third-round pick for Odell Beckahm Jr. and Olivier Vernon.
Five years later, Peppers took a shot at the Browns on social media after a fan posted a screenshot of how the defensive back was used during his time with Cleveland.

Peppers' skill set doesn't exactly fit the mold for a deep safety. He should be used closer to the front and even in the box. As a rookie with Cleveland, he played just 75 box snaps, and during his two years with New England, he's played 453.
He's right. He was being used incorrectly.
It will be interesting to see if Peppers is asked to do anything different without the versatile Jalen Mills in the secondary and without Bill Belichick's scheme this year.
