The New England Patriots have undergone massive changes on the offensive side of the ball, as they have a bunch of new coaches, quarterbacks, receivers and offensive linemen.
While there were still plenty of players who spent the 2023 season with the team still on the market, one agreed to a deal with another franchise on Monday.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, former Patriots running back Ezekiel Elliott has agreed to a deal to return to the Dallas Cowboys.
Elliott spent the first seven seasons of his career in Dallas before signing with New England last offseason, and he was arguably the Patriots' best offensive weapon. He led the team in rushing yards (642), receptions (51) and total yards (955).
The Patriots signed Antonio Gibson this offseason to join Rhamondre Stevenson, Kevin Harris, JaMycal Hasty and Ke'Shawn Vaughn. But, even though New England has a solid stable of running backs, they'll likely miss what Elliott brought to the table for them last year.
