The New England Patriots' running back room is one of their deepest positions on offense, as it boasts Rhamondre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson, Kevin Harris, JaMycal Hasty and Ke'Shawn Vaughn.
However, with the NFL draft right around the corner, the Patriots should be looking for opportunities to improve every position on their roster, even those that are considered deep.
According to KPRC2's Aaron Wilson, New England had a Zoom call with TCU running back Emani Bailey on Monday, who is projected to be a Day 3 pick by most.
The 5-foot-9, 207-pound back spent his first two collegiate seasons at Louisiana before transferring to TCU for the final two.
In 42 career games, Bailey rushed for 2,161 yards and 18 touchdowns on 5.9 yards per attempt while adding another 380 yards and one touchdown on 47 receptions.
With only Gibson under contract beyond 2024, the Patriots should be considering options at the position to solidify the group for the future, and Bailey could be someone who surprises at the NFL level.
