After the New England Patriots stalled early in the first drive of their preseason finale against the Washington Commanders with Jacoby Brissett under center, rookie quarterback Drake Maye entered the game.
Going against backups, Maye led an impressive drive that resulted in his team finding the end zone for the first time in the contest.
The third-overall pick completed five of his six passes in his first series for 71 yards and the touchdown, which was a quick pass to running back Kevin Harris, who was lined out wide. Harris made his defender miss and took flight to cross the goal line.

Maye's performance on that first drive will certainly have many calling for him to be the starter for New England's Week 1 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
