Patriots Twitter reacts to team drafting UNC QB Drake Maye image

The New England Patriots made the easy choice on Thursday, taking North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye with the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

Maye will eventually take over as New England's new franchise quarterback. It's just a question of whether or not he'll be ready for the start of the year. If he's not Jacoby Brissett will be the starter until May can take over.

With the news of the next guy coming to Gillette Stadium, everyone in Patriots Nation, from the fans to the players and media, went wild on social media.

Everyone seems pretty happy with the pick around the team and in the fan base, so it seems like the right move. However, we won't know until he steps on the field.
