The New England Patriots hit the practice fields at Gillette Stadium on Monday for their first session of organized team activities.
While the session wasn't open to fans, the team still wanted those following the team to get a glimpse of the work that the players were putting in.
With that, New England's content team released clips of practice on their YouTube channel which had head coach Jerod Mayo and rookie quarterback Drake Maye mic'd up.
Once the video hit social media, it got the attention of former NFL wideout Eddie Royal, who played nine seasons in the league with the Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers and Chicago Bears from 2008-16.
Royal commended the rookie quarterback's communication skills, which are beyond many his age.
If you understand ball or ever been in a huddle you know how important this video is...I didn't need to see one throw to know he's going to be a star. This type of communication coming from a rookie is off the charts https://t.co/bhvhYVQCzh

If former second-round picks are watching this on their phones and feeling this way about the rookie, those in the building have to be feeling similarly.
Patriots fans should be excited about this, even if it's just a single OTA session.
