The 2024 NFL draft is roughly two weeks away, and the New England Patriots are still having some players in for pre-draft visits before they set their board for the seven-round event.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Patriots are hosting Mississippi State cornerback Decamerion Richardson for a visit on Monday.

Richardson played in 45 games for the Bulldogs, recording 177 tackles (two for a loss), 10 passes defensed, one sack and one fumble recovery. He led the SEC in tackles by a cornerback in 2022 and 2023.

At the NFL combine, Richardson ran an impressive 4.34-second 40-yard dash. He also recorded a 128-inch broad jump and a 35-inch vertical.

New England still has some talented cornerbacks on the roster, including Christian Gonzalez, Jonathan Jones and Marcus Jones. However, two of those three are returning from season-ending injuries and there isn't a ton of talented depth beyond them.

Richardson is expected to be a Day 3 pick in the upcoming draft, so the Patriots could take a flier on the prospect without risking too much.
