Amendola suffered a knee sprain in the Patriots' Week 11 win over the Bills when his knee hit the ground while cornerback Ronald Darby landed on top of him. He missed last Sunday night's loss to the Broncos but returned to practice on a limited basis this week.
Amendola said this week he hopes to play, but it will depend on how well he feels when he runs around. He is expected to be one of quarterback Tom Brady's top targets along with fellow wideout Brandon LaFell and tight end Scott Chandler.
After averaging less than five targets a game before Julian Edelman was sidelined with a broken foot, Amendola has since seen Brady target him 23 times. He has logged 49 catches for 520 yards and two touchdowns this season.
