While the New England Patriots are preparing for their 2024 campaign, they are doing so without left guard Cole Strange, who suffered a knee injury late last year.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Strange is expected to miss the start of this season and could be out until the middle of the year.

Strange, 25, was the 29th overall pick in 2022 NFL draft out of Chattanooga. He's appeared and started in 27 games for the Patriots over his two seasons.

Strange was carted off of the field during New England's Week 15 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, and he didn't play in their final three games.

In the team's first organized team activity session on Monday, the Patriots were trying out Sidy Sow at left guard, and it wouldn't be surprising at all to see him hold down the job when the regular season starts.
