With the end of mandatory minicamps comes the dead period of activity in the NFL, where teams, including the New England Patriots, aren't all working out together on the field each day trying to get better.
While players are spending this time enjoying their free time, this is the season of rankings and evaluations for fans and media alike.
On Tuesday, CBS Sports' Pete Prisco released his list of the top 100 players for the 2024 season, and there weren't many Patriots to make the list.
In fact, the only representative of New England's roster to appear on the rankings was defensive lineman Christian Barmore at No. 70.
Here's what Prisco said about Barmore:
"On a bad team, he was a real bright spot last season. He is on the verge of becoming a dominant defensive lineman. The Patriots were smart to lock him up with a new contract."
Barmore is a great player and deserves to be recognized on the list, but is he the only one who should be there?
Prisco listed safety Kyle Dugger as an honorable mention. He also received an extension this offseason after being an impact player in New England's secondary last season.
An argument could also be made for Matthew Judon, who is returning from a season-ending injury but has been pretty solid in his time with the Patriots.
