Former New England Patriots defensive back Adrian Wilson was arrested June 1 on multiple domestic violence charges, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
According to police records, Wilson, 44, has been charged with intentional assault causing physical injury, damaging property between $250 and $2,000 and disorderly conduct-disruptive behavior or fighting. Wilson was arrested on misdemeanor charges just after 6 a.m. and posted bail the same day.
Wilson spent 13 years in the NFL, mostly with the Arizona Cardinals, but he spent the 2013 season with the New England Patriots. He tore his Achilles in the preseason and spent the entire year on injured reserve. He attempted to continue his career in 2014, but he was unable to make the Chicago Bears roster out of training camp.
After his playing days, Wilson transitioned to the front office, working with the Arizona Cardinals from 2015-21 before becoming the vice president of player personnel with the Carolina Panthers last year. A spokesperson for the Panthers has stated that he won't serve in his current role with the team any longer, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.
