The Patriots will have a familiar face up front this upcoming season.
New England announced Monday it has re-signed defensive lineman Danny Shelton.
The terms of the contract have not been released.
Shelton, who will be entering his fifth year in the NFL, reacted to the news just minutes after the official announcement.
"All Glory to God!," he tweeted in part.
All Glory to God! Have a blessed day everyone. #Year5😉 #BackToWork #PatsNation

The Patriots originally acquired Shelton, 25, in a March 2018 trade with the Browns. He played in 13 regular-season games with one start but had three consecutive healthy scratches in December.
“Honestly, for me personally, I’m just focused on this week and focused on this opportunity,” he said then. “When I get the opportunity, I’ll be ready, and hopefully I can execute and dominate.”
Shelton went on to have arguably his best game of 2018-19 in Super Bowl 53.
He finished the regular season with 21 tackles, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit. Shelton also recorded two tackles in 16 snaps in the Super Bowl victory.
Shelton was selected by the Browns out of Washington as the 12th overall pick in the 2015 draft.
He spent three seasons in Cleveland.
