Josh Gordon is back on the field with New England.
The Patriots receiver was suspended by the NFL for violating its substance-abuse policy in 2018 but was conditionally reinstated Aug. 16, making him eligible to play with New England in its preseason game against the Giants on Thursday, if the team chooses to have him suit up.
The 28-year-old passed his physical and was taken off the non-football injury list Sunday, allowing him to join his teammates at practice, according to a report from NFL.com.
Meanwhile, as was clear when he practiced, #Patriots WR Josh Gordon passed his physical and is off NFI.

Things appear to be coming together nicely for the defending champions in 2019.
Last year's Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman and Demaryius Thomas were both activated earlier this week, making New England's receiving corps appear more and more formidable. Other notable wideouts on the roster include rookies N'Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers, as well as Phillip Dorsett.
Although the Patriots lost star tight end Rob Gronkowski to retirement after last season, it still has its field general in six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.
Gordon, meanwhile, has tallied 220 receptions for 3,826 yards and 19 touchdowns in his five-year career but has only played all 16 games in a season once.
He notched 40 receptions for 720 yards and three touchdowns last year.
