The 2024 NFL Draft is just 20 days away and the Los Angeles Rams still possess their first-round pick in the draft.

If they hold onto that, it would be their first selection in the first round of the draft since the 2016 NFL Draft. In this first edition of the Rams mock draft round-up, take a look at who analysts have projected the Rams will select.

UCLA EDGE Laiatu Latu

Penn State EDGE Chop Robinson

Florida State EDGE Jared Verse

Texas DT Byron Murphy II

Illinois DT Johnny Newton

Iowa DB Cooper DeJean

Missouri DL Darius Robinson

Washington QB Michael Penix Jr.

Overview

It's clear that addressing the defense is a pretty consensus viewpoint among many draft analysts, though there is a major schism on how exactly they should do that. 23 different mock drafts gave them eight different players. Only one mock draft sent them an offensive player, sending LA quarterback Michael Penix Jr., even though Matthew Stafford is under contract through 2026.

One player continues to dominate the conversation with UCLA's Laiatu Latu, who featured the most of every mock draft with seven drafts keeping him in Los Angeles. Right behind him was Texas DT Byron Murphy II in a clear reaction to the retirement of Aaron Donald.

Here are the overall results

Player Number
Laiatu Latu 7
Byron Murphy II 5
Jared Verse 3
Chop Robinson 2
Johnny Newton 2
Cooper DeJean 2
Darius Robinson 1
Michael Penix Jr. 1
