The Carolina Panthers will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today without starting running back DeAngelo Williams, who is inactive with a bruised quadriceps.
Star defensive end Charles Johnson also is inactive for the Panthers (8-3).
Jonathan Stewart will start in place of Williams, with Mike Tolbert and rookie running back Kenjon Barner also sharing carries. Williams is the leading rusher for the Panthers, who have won seven straight games.

Other inactives for Carolina: linebacker Chase Blackburn, tight end Ben Hartsock, guard Chris Scott, and wide receivers Marvin McNutt and Tavarres King.
Cornerback Darrelle Revis is active and will start for Tampa Bay (3-8).
Inactive for Tampa Bay are wide receivers Derek Moye, Dwayne Harris and Denarius Moore, guard Jacques McClendon, running back Bernard Scott, free safety Bradley McDougald and cornerback Curtis Marsh.
