CHARLOTTE, N.C. — We've seen this show before.

A week ago, the Panthers blitzed and burned the Seahawks en route to a 14-0 first-quarter and 31-0 halftime lead. On Sunday night in the NFC championship game against the Cardinals, the Panthers put their feet on the gas early against an NFC West team again.

Ted Ginn got things started with a reverse, which he cut back to the other side of the field like Reggie Bush against Fresno State in 2005, resulting in a 22-yard touchdown.

After the Panthers defense again stopped the Cardinals from gaining any momentum, Cam Newton found Corey Brown down the middle of the field. Brown put on the jets and blew by the defender for an 88-yard touchdown catch.

The Panthers finished the first quarter with a 17-0 lead. Their offense was clicking, and their defense was getting to Carson Palmer and locking down Larry Fitzgerald and Co.

But as the Seahawks showed last week, the second half can be a very different story.
