When the Packers host the Bears on "Sunday Night Football" (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC) they will be looking to restore some normalcy in the NFC North standings. Green Bay (0-1) is coming off a bad road division loss at Minnesota in Week 1 while Chicago (1-0) shocked NFC powerhouse San Francisco at home.

Aaron Rodgers will need to get his team to "relax" again. In a similar Week 2 situation in Lambeau Field last season following a blowout road defeat to the Saints, the Packers routed the visiting Lions, 35-17.

Will the Bears pull off another big upset with Justin Fields? Or will the Packers continue to dominate their archrivals?

Here's everything to know about betting on Bears vs. Packers in Week 2, including updated odds, trends and our prediction for "Sunday Night Football."

Bears vs. Packers odds for Sunday Night Football

  • Spread: Packers by 10
  • Over/under: 41.5
  • Moneyine: Bears +360, Packers -480

The Packers have been double-digit favorites since the early lines because of the expectation they will right the ship while the Bears already overachieved in Week 1. The low total reflects each team's offensive issues.

Bears vs. Packers all-time series

The Packers have taken a lead of late, 103-95-6. Green Bay has won six consecutive games in the series and a ridiculous 11 of the 12 past meetings. The last time Chicago won was 24-17 in 2018.

Three trends to know

—59 percent of spread bettors think the number is too big for the Packers and like the Bears to cover.

—51 percent of over/under bettors believe the total is a little too low given Rodgers and Fields are on the same field.

—The Bears were only 6-11 against the spread last season. The Packers were 12-6 against the spread in 2021. The teams have started a respective 1-0 and 0-1 this season.

Three things to watch

Rodgers' receivers

The Packers are set to get Allen Lazard (ankle) back in the lineup as Rodgers' default No. 1. Tight end Robert Tonyan, another trusted target, is fully healthy. They will need to have big games to support an offense that was too dependent on running backs Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon.

Fields' receivers

The Bears' QB did a good job to find shot plays to wide receivers Dante Pettis and Equanimeous St. Brown that scored TDs to beat the 49ers last week. But in the slosh and rain of Solider Field, top targets Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet were quiet. The team needs both to deliver against a tough Packers back seven.

The Packers' defensive adjustments

They were undressed by Justin Jefferson and the Vikings because of zone coverage that showed a lot of lapses and didn't help top players such as shutdown cornerback Jaire Alexander. The Packers must be sound and disciplined vs. Fields and his ability to extend plays with his athleticism.

Stats that matter

176 and 125.1. That's how many rushing yards the Bears allowed to the 49ers last week and how much on average they gave up on the ground last season. The Packers can bust out of their slump with plenty more Jones and Dillon with Rodgers having favorable passing playing off that.

Bears vs. Packers prediction

Look for the Packers to turn in a strong all-around performance that more reflects their talent level around Rodgers in 2022. Having more support for him helps as well as a defense making impact plays again. Fields and the Bears don't have enough pop to keep up and their run defense will be a big bugaboo.

Packers 27, Bears 14
