Aaron Rodgers was already playing some of the best football of his career, but coming off a humiliating loss to Tampa Bay, the future Hall of Famer has a failing Houston franchise to air his frustrations out on.
Green Bay (4-1) suffered its first defeat of the season in Week 6, losing 38-10 to the Buccaneers. Rodgers threw his first two interceptions of the season, with one being returned for a touchdown, only the third such time of his illustrious career. The touchdown was part of 38-unanswered points by the Bucs. Rodgers was sacked four times, which could again be a problem against Houston and J.J. Watt with Green Bay likely missing All-Pro tackle David Bakhtiari.
Houston (1-5) has shown signs of life in two week under interim coach Romeo Crennel, but lost a tough overtime game to Tennessee last week after coming back from a 21-7 hole. The former Packers receiver Randall Cobb will be playing his old team for the first time. The long-time Green-Bay receiver has 22 catches for 272 yards and scored a touchdown against the Titans.
The two teams last played at a snowy Lambeau Field in 2016, with the Packers winning 21-13. Coach Matt LaFleur has never lost consecutive games.
