The NFL playoff schedule for 2020 brings a unique set of national TV broadcasts, with three networks and the associated TV channels presenting four games over the span of two days in the divisional round. Today's Packers vs. Seahawks game in Green Bay, scheduled to kick off at 6:40 p.m. ET, will be shown on Fox.
Naturally, the hype around Sunday's divisional matchup in Green Bay is centered on the superstar quarterbacks. Plus, the Seahawks and Packers have a rich recent history of amazing games. There's no reason to expect anything different this year.
Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers enters Sunday having thrown at least two touchdown passes in each of his last five postseason games. With four more against Seattle, he would tie Peyton Manning (40) for the fourth most career postseason touchdown passes in NFL history.
PACKERS vs. SEAHAWKS PICKS:
Against the spread | Straight-up predictions
His QB counterpart Russell Wilson likely will be the reason the Seahawks beat the Packers if Seattle indeed pulls off an upset, but probably will have had some help from a couple new weapons. Running back Marshawn Lynch recorded his 10th career postseason rushing touchdown in the win last week. With at least two rushing touchdowns Sunday, Lynch would tie Pro Football Hall of Famers Terrell Davis (12) and John Riggins (12) for the fourth most career postseason rushing touchdowns in NFL history.
Further, Seahawks rookie wide receiver D.K. Metcalf led Seattle with 160 receiving yards and a touchdown in last week's, the most receiving yards by a rookie in a single postseason game in the Super Bowl era. With at least 83 receiving yards against Green Bay, Metcalf would surpass Torry Holt (242 yards in 1999) for the most postseason receiving yards by a rookie in NFL history.

In both our picks against the spread and our straight-up predictions for the divisional round, Sporting News projected a Packers win over the Seahawks. Below are the explanations.
Against the spread: The Seahawks grinded their way to victory against the Eagles, overcoming their injury-based attrition better than their opponents did. The Packers are mostly healthy and well rested. Aaron Rodgers had an up-and-down season, more steady than spectacular. But the Seahawks' pass rush will be limited in its chances to get to the QB, and they also can't cover Davante Adams or Aaron Jones.
Seattle will counter with plenty of Marshawn Lynch and Travis Homer on the ground to set up Russell Wilson's downfield passing to his big-play wide receivers, Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf. Rodgers and Wilson will get into a passing duel in Wisconsin, with Rodgers finding familiar magic with a game-winning field goal drive.
Pick: Packers win 30-27 but fail to cover the spread.
Straight up: The Packers, who allowed 120.1 rushing yards per game in the regular season, probably aren't thrilled to draw the Seahawks' No. 4-ranked ground attack. That makes the divisional round an ideal time for Green Bay to focus on stopping the run, because even if it advances, it'll face another strong running team against San Francisco or Minnesota.
As much as we want to make this game about the superstar quarterbacks — and Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers certainly will be fun to watch — the biggest factor is the injury bug, which is biting the Seahawks much harder than the Packers. While the Marshawn Lynch story is amusing, it's also a reminder that Seattle is attempting to deploy its power rushing attack without its best power rushers in Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise. On the other side of the ball, Rodgers will take advantage of the two mismatch creators he has in Aaron Jones and Davante Adams, and Green Bay will reach the NFC title game in coach Matt LaFleur's first season.
Pick: Packers 23, Seahawks 17
