The Packers host the Redskins in on Sunday as they look to take one step closer to clinching a playoff berth.

Green Bay (9-3) sits alone atop the NFC North thanks to the Vikings loss to the Seahawks on "Monday Night Football" in Week 13. The Packers started off hot this season under first-year coach Matt LaFleur, going 7-1 in their first eight games. Things began to slip with losses to the Chargers and the 49ers in recent weeks, but Green Bay was able to course-correct and bounce back with wins in each of the following weeks.

While quarterback Aaron Rodgers has posted impressive numbers this season — 3,065 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and just two interceptions — he hasn't looked like the MVP he's been in seasons' past. Rodgers' QBR this season is 55.9, barely above league average. Despite his lackluster play, the Packers find themselves near the top of the NFC and in the driver's seat in the NFC North playoff picture.

Washington (3-9) finds itself in the midst of a rebuilding season, but has gotten hot as of late. The Redskins have won two straight after a 1-9 start to the season behind rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins. After Sunday's game, the Redskins play all of their division rivals in the last three weeks of the season and things don't get any easier.

While the season is already lost for Washington and games this late in the season may seem unimportant, they are vital for a rebuilding team as it looks towards the future.
