What channel is Packers vs. Lions on today? Schedule, time for 'Monday Night Football' game image

For the first time this season, Packers and Lions fans will need to scan their TV channels for ESPN in order to watch their teams play. Green Bay vs. Detroit is this week's featured game on "Monday Night Football" with a kickoff time scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.

In 2019, the Monday night game in a given week is rarely a premier matchup, but Packers vs. Lions is an important game in the early NFC North race. At 4-1, Green Bay has a chance to extend its lead, and at 2-1-1, Detroit with a win can prove it's a legit contender in the division this season.

The Packers are entering Monday night's game as 3 1/2-point favorites, according to Sportsbook Review. Much of that has to do with the presence of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has recorded 3-plus touchdowns and a rating of 100 or better in three of his last four starts against the Lions. Further, in nine career home starts against Detroit, Rodgers has 17 TDs and only 3 INTs with a 109.4 rating.

Despite all that, the Lions have won four consecutive games against the Packers, who still lead the all-time series 98-72-7.
