The goals couldn't be more different with Green Bay looking to win another Super Bowl and Jacksonville looking to lose every way possible to improve their draft position as the Jaguars host the Packers on Fox.
The Packers (6-2) moved back into the top position of the NFC North with a win over San Francisco last week. Aaron Rodgers had his third 300-yard, four-touchdown and no-interception performance of the season. His 24 passing touchdowns only trail Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes. Granted it was against an injured 49ers rushing attack, the Packers run defense that was gashed for 173 yards in Week 8 limited San Francisco to just 55 rushing yards.
Jacksonville (1-7) has fully embraced the "Tank for Trevor" mindset in its quest to obtain the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, losing seven straight games after a surprise win over Indianapolis in Week 1. Former Oregon State quarterback Jake Luton made the first start of his career and actually played admirably, completing 26 of 38 passes for 304 yards and a touchdown. Running back James Robinson has been one of the biggest surprises of 2020, as the undrafted rookie out of Illinois State ranks sixth in the NFL with 580 rushing yards.
The Packers are 4-2 all-time against the Jaguars with their last win coming in 2016 when Green Bay won 27-23.
