Packers coach Matt LaFleur will be in some pain as he prepares for the 2019 season after he suffered a torn Achilles playing basketball Wednesday.
The newly-hired coach is set to undergo surgery Sunday and he plans to coach the remainder of Green Bay's organized team activities from a cart, according to NFL Network.

The injury will force LaFleur to stay on the sidelines while he recovers. In his short time with the Packers, he has shown a hands-on approach with his team. The 39-year-old coach has stayed active and has been seen running around the field with his players, especially talking with the quarterbacks inbetween snaps.
LaFleur joined the Packers during the offseason after serving as the offensive coordinator for the Titans in 2018. He was hired after Green Bay parted ways with longtime head coach Mike McCarthy in December after a 4-7-1 start.
The Packers, who finished third in the NFC North last season, ended with a 6-9-1 record, marking the first time the Packers had missed the playoffs in consecutive seasons since 2005 and 2006. LaFleur will be tasked with turning around a program that ranked 14th in scoring offense and 22nd in scoring defense.
