It may have taken a week longer than expected, but Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finally entered the top 10 of the NFL's all-time passing leaders during Green Bay's "Monday Night Football" matchup vs. the Lions.

Rodgers entered Monday's game 97 yards shy of John Elway's 51,475 yards after throwing for 133 yards in a Week 1 loss to the Saints. He passed Elway with a 50-yard strike to receiver Davante Adams in the third quarter. With that connection, Rodgers now has the 10th-most passing yards in NFL history:

Rodgers continued his aerial attack in the second half, adding passing touchdowns of 22 and 11 yards to go with his scores of 4 and 1 yards in the first half.

Rodgers entered 2021 with nine seasons of at least 4,000 passing yards since taking over as starter in 2008. He only missed that mark in seasons he did not play a full 16-game schedule. That said, it's unlikely he'll climb higher than his current position in 2021, as Matt Ryan (ninth all time with 56,231 passing yards) is still playing.

Below is the full top-10 list of the NFL's all-time leading passers:

Rank Player Yards
1 Drew Brees 80,358
2 Tom Brady 79,859
3 Peyton Manning 71,940
4 Brett Favre 71,838
5 Philip Rivers 63,440
6 Dan Marino 61,361
7 Ben Roethlisberger 60,831
8 Eli Manning 57,023
9 Matt Ryan 56,231
10 Aaron Rodgers 51,633

Rodgers would need roughly 5,600 yards to pass the next passer on the list, Eli Manning (57,023 yards).
