The Giants are hurting in the secondary and may need to rely on some of their offensive players for help, including (possibly) Odell Beckham Jr.
McAdoo says Giants cross-trained players, used some offensive guys on D just in case. Said 'never say never' about Odell Beckham at safety

Would the Giants actually use Beckham on defense against the Vikings? Probably not. The only realistic situation would be on Hail Mary coverage. Teams will often put their big receivers in the end zone to defend the desperation pass, like when Randy Moss intercepted a pass with the Patriots.

While we may not see Beckham, it is interesting that coach Ben McAdoo has cross-trained players for an emergency situation. The Giants have CB Eli Apple, CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, safety Nat Berhe and safety Darian Thompson listed on the injury report.
Thompson (foot) will miss the Monday night game while Apple (hamstring), Rodgers-Cromartie (groin) and Berhe (concussion) are uncertain. The only healthy safeties on the team are Landon Collins and Andrew Adams.
Healthy cornerbacks are Janoris Jenkins, Trevin Wade, Leon Hall and rookie Michael Hunter.
