From postgame press conferences to next-day media availabilities, NFL players and coaches can't escape the microphone.
The news of the day Monday was the surprising decision by the Los Angeles Rams to fire head coach Jeff Fisher. Rams COO Kevin Demoff still praised Fisher and did not lay the blame on the longtime NFL coach. That move was lauded by Rams fans, including Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson.
The Rams will play the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday and, if Green Bay Packers receiver Randall Cobb is correct, the Rams should look out for some cheap shots. Staying in the NFC West, the Arizona Cardinals think God may favor the Miami Dolphins over them. Also, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr would like to befriend former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel; Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones has no love for Browns receiver Terrelle Pryor; the Carolina Panthers are preparing to face their old teammate; and agent Todd France could have a fight between clients on his hands.

Here's the latest edition of "He Said What?!"
— Demoff said Fisher "brought stability and credibility" to the organization: "I would never want to scapegoat Jeff. He's worked too hard and been too loyal."
— Dickerson on ending his boycott of the Rams now that Fisher is gone: "Of course I will go to the games now. I am not shocked. I think it's something that had to happen. You have the players giving up on you; you have to make a change."
— Cardinals receiver J.J. Nelson on playing in the rain in Miami: "Every time we got the ball it seemed like it was pouring, like a monsoon. I've never played in anything like that."
— Carr on Manziel: "I spent a lot of time around him. He's such a good dude. I obviously wish him the best, you know I hope that … hopefully one day he'll reach out, [I'd] be able to talk to him and be a friend to him."

— Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman on facing the Panthers, who let him go in April: "I'm already there. This will be a fun week. They know what time it is."
— Panthers coach Ron Rivera called Norman a "unique" challenge and individual. "We got frustrated with him, and he’s stubborn and hard-headed, but tremendously talented — and we know that."
— Cobb on the Seahawks: "They’re just cheap. Bunch of front-runners. That’s Seattle, for you. That’s what they do. It was all over the field."
— Jones on Pryor: "I have no respect for him. For a guy that's been a slouch in this league as a QB, he does a lot of fake hard s—. I looked up his background, he's a suburban kid from Pittsburgh. Stop acting hard."
MORE: Adam Jones really doesn't like Terrelle Pryor
— Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib on Tennessee Titans receiver Harry Douglas, whom he called a dirty player: "He got the same agent as me so when I see his ass in Atlanta I’m going to beat his ass. He tried to do something dirty so that’s why I’m going to beat his ass."
— Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan says he has the support of owner Terry Pegula: "I have to block rumors about me out and move forward and that's what I'll do. I talk to the Pegulas every week. Every Friday, right after game and on Mondays. We won't talk about speculation."
— New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady on Monday's game-sealing touchdown to Chris Hogan: "He was not the primary receiver on that play, but he saw what I saw and adjusted his route. We needed it."
