Former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis was found dead at the age of 35 on Monday morning.

Details of Davis' death are still being investigated but police officials suspected that no foul play was involved, according to a report from WSVN7 in Miami.

The news was first reported by Illinois assistant men's basketball coach Chester Frazier.

The No. 25 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, Davis began his career with the Miami Dolphins (2009-2011) before being traded to the Indianapolis Colts (2012-2017) where he spent the majority of his career. His final season in the NFL was with the Buffalo Bills in 2018.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Davis appeared in 121 career games (113 starts) recording 22 interceptions, 97 passes defensed and 10 tackles for loss.
