The NFL trade deadline came and went at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday, and several teams made final efforts to improve their teams for either the short or long term this season. Despite trade rumors around Giants safety Landon Collins and 49ers wide receiver Pierre Garcon, neither was traded. The same can't be said for Demaryius Thomas, Golden Tate, Ty Montgomery, Dante Fowler or Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
In the background of all that was running back Le'Veon Bell, who still has not reported to the Steelers. Despite trade rumors around him all season, he was not dealt before the trade deadline. Same goes for Bills running back LeSean McCoy, as Buffalo made no trades Tuesday.

Of course, big NFL trades in general are rare for several reasons. Last year's action at the trade deadline was a bit of an exception, although at least one report suggested the movement at the 2018 trade deadline would be just as interesting. Turns out, it was, especially for a couple wide receivers and for the Packers.
As the 2018 NFL trade deadline approached and the rumors became reality, SN managed a tracker of the notable trades.
