The Los Angeles Chargers have made it a tradition to compare their opponents to fictional Pop-Tarts flavors ahead of the release of the annual schedule, but this time around they ruffled the feathers of Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams, which is never a good idea.
The made-up Pop-Tarts flavor the Chargers compared the Raiders to was "Garbage," and they used Adams' picture in the process. What made that particularly funny was the fact that the Raiders crushed the Chargers in their last meeting, 63-21.
Adams was recently a guest on "Up & Adams" and made it clear he was none too pleased about being used in the graphic.
"I thought about responding on social media to it, being funny there, but I figured it would be better to just beat their head in real life," Adams said. "I just wanted to kind of remind them what they've been going through as it pertains to playing against me."
"Hopefully, the people that made that post — because it's not the players' fault," he added. "They didn't have anything to do with the post. This is directed strictly toward the Chargers' social media page: Please keep my name out your mouth and show some respect."

Adams wasn't the only Raider from the 2023 team to take exception to the Chargers' post.
Former Raiders right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor absolutely shredded the Chargers' social media team, calling Los Angeles a "garbage team."
Not only did the Raiders steamroll the Chargers the last time they met, Adams has had a ton of success against them during his career. Over five games against Los Angeles, Adams is averaging 107 yards per, and he's found pay dirt four times.
In the aforementioned beat down of the Chargers, Adams broke the century mark, tallying 101 yards and a touchdown. Safe to say, it's not a good idea to give him extra motivation.
It won't be long before Adams gets a chance to get at the Chargers. The Raiders and Chargers open the season against one another with a showdown in Los Angeles in Week 1.
