NFL scores Week 4: Full results, highlights from Sunday's games image

Week 4 of the 2019 NFL season arrived with the same trend that defined much of last year: Quarterbacks around the league are lighting up scoreboards at a record pace.

Through the first three weeks of the season, 11 quarterbacks had a passer rating of 100 or higher (minimum 20 attempts), the most through three weeks in NFL history. That list of QBs included two rookies, the Giants' Daniel Jones and the Jaguars' Gardner Minshew, along with two second-year QBs, the Panthers' Kyle Allen and the Ravens' Lamar Jackson. In total, six QBs under the age of 25 and eight under the age of 30 had a passer rating of 100 or higher (minimum 20 attempts) through the first three weeks.

Of course, all of those young passers are chasing Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs QB passed for 378 yards with 3 TDs and no INTs in Week 1 and 443 yards with 4 TDs and no INTs in Week 2, making him the first player to record at least 350 passing yards, 3 TD passes and no INTs in three consecutive games in NFL history. Dating back to Week 6 of last season, the reigning league MVP entered Sunday's game against the Lions having thrown at least 2 TD passes in 14 consecutive games.

That streak ended Sunday, but Mahomes and the Chiefs left Detroit with a win.
