New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton is fed up with NFL officials and he has a reasonable solution to help fix things.
“The system currently hasn’t improved. We say it has, but it hasn’t. We’re the only league with officials who have primary other jobs, which is really madness," Payton said via Pro Football Talk. "We can pay these guys. They should be full-time NFL officials, and they should be working throughout the week, communicating.

“Every other sports league employs full-time officials. And ours, these guys all have other significant jobs. I just think it’s very difficult to do.”
Payton didn't name an official in particular that has caught his ire. He just thinks having officials work to understand the game better throughout the week will help them produce better results on Sunday.
“The officials work their tails off, but there are some things that need to be fixed,” Payton said.
Payton's comments come on the heels of a 25-20 home win against the Seattle Seahawks in which the Saints had just two penalties for 10 yards and the Seahawks committed 11 penalties for 76 yards, so Payton clearly isn't speaking out of spite.
