Pete Morelli has been officiating games in the NFL since 1997, but he had some rookie moments in Sunday's game between the Bills and Patriots.
Perhaps the worst offense was when he left his microphone on and cursed to everyone in attendance at Gillette Stadium. After one official said to him, "Slowly turning into a good game," Morelli responded by saying, "But one big hit and some s--- could happen."

Luckily for the league, the moment was not caught on television because the game was at a timeout. But what was caught on television was Morelli facing the wrong way when announcing a penalty.
The second gaffe is harmless, but it's pretty rare to see a seasoned official announce a call to the wrong camera. The first gaffe, however, could result in a form of punishment. There's precedent for an official being suspended for cursing, but in that case the profanity was directed towards a player.
The NFL did not immediately respond to Omnisport's inquiry about Morelli's potential discipline.
