And then there were four.

Each conference is down to just two teams remaining, as the AFC and NFC Championships are here. The winners of this weekend's contest will be heading out to Las Vegas for Super Bowl 58 at Allegiant Stadium.

In the AFC, the Bills and Chiefs delivered another thrilling postseason classic. In the third meeting between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs, the two went blow-for-blow yet again. However, the result was the same for the third time in a row — a Kansas City victory.

The Ravens showed why they earned the top spot in the conference, using a dominant second half to take out the Texans in their divisional-round matchup and advance to Lamar Jackson's first AFC Championship.

On the other side of the bracket, the Lions punched their ticket to the team's first conference championship in over 30 years, outlasting the Buccaneers at home. It leaves Detroit one win away from the franchise's first Super Bowl berth.

Out in the Bay Area, Christian McCaffrey's touchdown with a minute left in regulation lifted the 49ers to a close win over the Packers, as San Francisco continued its recent run of postseason wins over Green Bay.

Below is a breakdown of everything you need to know about the NFL playoff bracket in 2024, including a complete postseason schedule, TV channels for all the playoff games, and scores/results as they come in.

AFC, NFC championship game matchups

AFC — No. 1 Baltimore Ravens vs. 3. Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes has never not played in the AFC Championship as a starter. Lamar Jackson is getting his first crack at it.

The two dynamic quarterbacks are set to go head-to-head for the first time in postseason play, as the Ravens are set to host the Chiefs in the AFC title game. Mahomes and Jackson have not played against one another since the 2021 season, which delivered a thrilling 36-35 win for Baltimore. In their careers, Mahomes holds a 3-1 advantage over Jackson.

Kansas City and Baltimore have met just once before in the postseason. That came during the 2011 playoffs when the Ravens smacked the Chiefs 30-7 in the wild-card round.

NFC — No. 1 San Francisco 49ers vs. No. 3 Detroit Lions

For the first time in over 30 years, the Lions are playing in an NFC Championship. However, it will be no easy task for Dan Campbell and Co., going against the top-seeded 49ers.

It's going to be a matchup of gold ole fashioned grit in Santa Clara this weekend. Both teams feature stout defensive units along with strong running games on offense. It should make for an intriguing first-time matchup, considering the Lions and 49ers did not play against one another in the regular season.

Detroit and San Francisco have only played against each other twice in playoff history — a 24-23 49ers victory in 1983 and a 31-27 Lions win in 1957.
