For nearly 40 years, Bill Belichick and Ernie Adams were in lock-step in their football journies.
They both began working together professionally in 1979 for the New York Giants, as Belichick was a special teams assistant and Adams assisted with the offense.
From that point on, with the exception of three seasons when Belichick was the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach of the New York Jets, the two worked on the same staff.
However, their connection comes before the NFL, as they both played high school football together at Phillips Academy.
Speaking with former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman on his "Games With Names" podcast, Adams shared some stories of their time together before their professional days.

It's hard to imagine either Adams or Belichick playing, but obviously, they are two of the brightest minds in the history of the game.
