Monday was all about quarterbacks.
Injuries, surgeries and general busts will bring some new faces under center next week, while New England's new receiver is in jeopardy of missing time due to his continual off-field issues.
Here we look back at the biggest headlines from Week 2 and the impact they'll have heading into Week 3.
Teddy Bridgewater set to take over for Drew Brees
The Saints veteran left Sunday's 27-9 loss to the Rams in the first quarter with his hand taped and it was later reported he could have surgery as early as Monday to repair a torn ligament in his throwing thumb. The recovery timeline is estimated to be six weeks for Brees, who has missed just one game due to injury in his 13-year NFL career.
Now the Saints will find out if Teddy Bridgewater is worth the price they paid. He became the highest-paid backup in the NFL as he chose New Orleans over Miami by opting to re-sign with the Saints in May. Coach Sean Payton expressed his faith in Bridgewater even after he finished Sunday 17-for-30 for 165 yards with no touchdowns in place of Brees.
Mason Rudolph moves up depth chart after Ben Roethlisberger blow
The Steelers quarterback suffered a non-contact injury to his right elbow in Sunday's 28-26 loss to the Seahawks and was replaced by the second-year backup, who ended up leaving his teammates "really, really, really impressed" as he finished 12 of 19 for 112 yards, two touchdowns and an interception that wasn't really his fault.
Rudolph is poised to make his first career start Sunday in San Francisco, so the Steelers will quickly find out if their problems go beyond their injury plague. Their playoff hopes are already hanging by an 0-2 thread.
Whether or not one of his offensive weapons will be available could also make a huge difference, as the Steelers have yet to announce an update on James Conner's status after the running back left Sunday's game with a knee injury.
Antonio Brown makes Patriots debut as NFL investigation looms
The receiver quickly meshed with New England's offense and logged his first touchdown on a 20-yard catch from Tom Brady in the first half of the team's 43-0 shutout of the Dolphins. But Brown could be placed on the Commissioner Exempt List this week as the NFL begins its investigation into a civil lawsuit that accused Brown of sexual assault and rape.
Brown was also accused by a second woman of sexual misconduct Monday. The unnamed woman, who declined to press charges, claimed Brown appeared nude behind her as she was working on a painting at his house.
Brown continues to deny all allegations against him but even though there are no criminal charges at this time, he could still face discipline for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
Could Packers get back on top of NFC North?
Green Bay hasn't won the division since 2016, but has reason to be optimistic about this season after its 2-0 start. The Packers got off to a strong 21-0 lead over the Vikings on Sunday before fending off a late surge that Packers cornerback Kevin King spoiled by intercepting Kirk Cousins.
The Packers have been inconsistent on offense under first-year coach Matt LaFleur but showed signs of growth by beating Minnesota for the first time since 2016. Things should only get easier considering four of Green Bay's next five games are at Lambeau Field.
Giants leave door open for QB change
After two inconsistent starts by Eli Manning that left New York in an 0-2 hole, the decision to start sixth overall draft pick Daniel Jones in the veteran's place looms as the team's operations are under review ahead of their trip to Tampa Bay this week.
"He's been our starter to this point," Giants coach Pat Shurmur said when asked if Manning is still his starter. "I'm not ready to talk about that."

The Giants certainly don't have much to lose, but they still have a lot to learn, especially from the Bills. Just look at Josh Allen's success getting Buffalo to a 2-0 start one year after being drafted seventh overall.
