The annual American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament is taking place in Lake Tahoe this week, with NFL legend and former Raiders wide receiver Jerry Rice being one of the participants.
But Rice isn't getting attention for his golfing prowess. Instead, he made headlines because of a spat he got into with a reporter that, on the surface, was very strange.
While walking the course at the celebrity golf tournament, Rice was questioned by reporters about the Kansas City Chiefs' receiving corps. and if it's good enough for the reigning Super Bowl champions to continue competing at a high level.
According to a video from TMZ, Rice went off on the reporters after being asked the question and threatened to beat them up.
"Do the Chiefs have a good enough receiver corps. to win again?" the reporter asked.
"I will f--- you up," Rice replied, before telling the reporter, "If you want some, come get some!"

In the aftermath of the altercation, Rice told TMZ that he felt the reporter was trying to get a rise out of him. He said that he felt the question was a dig at his former team, the San Francisco 49ers, who lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
"I'm going to defend the San Francisco 49ers," Rice said. "This is my history."
The reporters, who were from Starcade Media, later addressed the situation on their social media page, saying they meant no disrespect to Rice or the Niners.
Rice spent 16 of his 20 seasons in the NFL with the 49ers before spending three-plus with the Raiders. He finished out his career with the Seattle Seahawks in 2004 before being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
