The United States Men's National Team is now looking for a new manager after the team fired Gregg Berhalter — and one NFL Insider has just the guy: Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell.
The announcement of Berhalter's firing came from the U.S. Soccer Federation after the team had a poor showing in the 2024 Copa América in which the USMNT lost to both Uruguay and Panama, leading to the squad not making it past the group stage.
Shortly after news broke, NFL Insider and USA TODAY writer Safid Deen took to social media to jokingly suggest the Lions head coach, who would whip that team into shape immediately and have the players biting kneecaps by the end of the day.
"Hear men out, USMNT... I'm just saying, give it a thought," Deen tweeted, along with a GIF of Campbell.

Campbell is no stranger to turning a team around, as the Lions went from 3-13 in his first season, to 9-8 in his second, and then 12-5 in his third. Detroit also won the division and made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game last season.
Unfortunately for the USMNT, Campbell is kind of busy these days, with his Lions preparing for a 2024 campaign in which his team is among the favorites to capture a Super Bowl, which would be the first in franchise history.
