Two NFL games will be played today. First, an AFC North showdown between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers, followed by the Buffalo Bills vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.

Heading into the season, these matchups looked incredibly competitive with three bonafide franchise players – Joe Burrow, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert – and one ascending quarterback in Kenny Pickett. But injuries hit three of the four teams hard, and now Jake Browning will face Mason Rudolph, while Allen will place Easton Stick.

But that doesn't mean the games are meaningless. Both have huge playoff implications, as the Bengals, Steelers and Bills are all in the hunt for a wildcard berth.

The last time the Bengals and Steelers faced each other in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh took a tight 16-10 game in Browning's first start. The game was also featured the first time without offensive coordinator Matt Canada at the helm where Pittsburgh put up 400 yards of offense.

Coincidentally, that match was the last time the Steelers won a game and the last time the Bengals lost one. Pittsburgh has dropped games to the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots and Indianapolis since – yikes. Cincinnati, meanwhile, has beaten two teams in overtime – the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Minnesota Vikings – as well a blowout win over the Colts

The Bills, meanwhile, take on an awfully-depleted Chargers team that just endured a 63-21 shellacking, courtesy of the Las Vegas Raiders. Buffalo has the playoffs on its mind after dispatching the Dallas Cowboys in a big 31-10 win. The Bills put up 351 yards of offense and held the Cowboys to just 195 yards and one touchdown.
