To point out the obvious, it has been a tough season for the Panthers.
Carolina dropped to 1-7 after a Week 9 loss to Indianapolis, giving the team the second-worst record in the NFL ahead of only Arizona (1-8). It was a particularly brutal performance for rookie quarterback Bryce Young, who was sacked four times and threw three interceptions.

Still, Panthers coach Frank Reich isn't going to panic about the franchise's top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
"Offensively, it happens. As a quarterback, it happens," Reich said. "I told Bryce, 'I've seen the best quarterbacks in the game have way worse games than this — way worse.' So, you don't flinch. In some ways, it's good for him to go through this. It's good to kind of have to bounce back after something like this. So, that's what we do. We learn."
Young and his Carolina teammates will attempt to turn the page when they face Chicago on "Thursday Night Football."
