It's Dak and Big D vs. Daniel and Big Blue to kick off "Sunday Night Football."

The Dallas Cowboys are looking to build on a hectic-but-impressive 2022 season that saw Dak Prescott miss time with injury. Still, Dallas finished 12-5 and second in the division behind the eventual NFC champion Eagles, and it had one of the league's top offenses and defenses.

This year, Prescott and the 'Boys are fresh out of excuses and primed for another run to the playoffs, this time with some more receiving help. Dallas swung a trade for Brandin Cooks in the offseason, giving the offense more speed.

The Giants are looking for a big-time leap on offense after a surprising first season with Brian Daboll as the team's bench boss. This year, Daniel Jones should have a full complement of receivers, with Sterling Shepard, Wan'Dale Robinson, Parris Campbell and rookie Jalin Hyatt filling out the room. They also added tight end Darren Waller, making for a potentially explosive pass-catching group with which Daboll can work.

It's an old-school NFC East showdown to kick off the "SNF" slate.
