The Seahawks could be looking to sign a pass rusher to replace the one they traded away.

Seattle met with defensive end Ziggy Ansah on Monday, according to a report from ESPN, which cites an unidentified league source.

The 29-year-old has dealt with injuries throughout his career and he was limited to just seven games last season for the Lions. He finished with four sacks and 11 total tackles.

Detroit originally selected Ansah with the fifth pick in the 2013 draft and he has spent all six of his NFL seasons with the team. He has tallied 48 sacks in 80 career games and made the Pro Bowl in 2015.

Meanwhile, Seattle has a need on the defensive line after it sent Frank Clark to the Chiefs in exchange for the 29th pick in the 2019 draft and a 2020 second-round selection.

“We’re happy to add Frank to our team,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said in a statement after the deal. “Competing against him and watching his film, you can see how physical and impressive he is in both the run and the pass game. He’s young and has consistently played at a high level since he entered the league.”

Clark registered 13 sacks for Seattle last season and has totaled 35 over his four-year career.

Seattle also drafted defensive end L.J. Collier out of TCU with the pick it acquired for Clark.

"I’m a hard-nosed, physical guy," Collier said after the draft. "I play every down, I’m not just a pass rusher, I’m an all-around player. That’s what I bring to the game. I get off the ball and go 110% every time.”

The Seahawks finished 2018 with a 10-6 record and reached the playoffs, where they fell to the Cowboys in the wild-card round.
